FSAE Italy 2023 - Varano de' Melegari

The Firenze Race Team participated in the Formula SAE Italy event, held at the Riccardo Paletti circuit in Varano de’ Melegari from July 12th to 16th, 2023.

The adventure began with the team’s arrival at the circuit, ready to test their skills and creativity in one of the most prestigious university automotive competitions in Europe.

July 14th was an intense day for the team, featuring the Business Presentation and the Cost Event. During the Business Presentation, the team presented their project and marketing strategies to a panel of industry experts.

However, it was during the Cost Event that the Firenze Race Team truly shone. This challenge tested the team’s ability to manage the budget and find innovative solutions to reduce the vehicle’s production costs. Thanks to careful planning and the search for high-quality materials and components at competitive prices, we achieved an exceptional result, securing third place in the event.

July 15th was the day of the Design Event, a crucial moment for evaluating the vehicle’s aesthetic and functional aspects. Our team presented an innovative and captivating design, demonstrating their ability to combine aesthetics and performance. Despite strong competition, the team received many compliments from the judges for their creativity and attention to detail.

The competitions concluded with partial satisfaction for the Firenze Race Team. The third place achieved in the Cost Event is the result of months of hard work, commitment, and dedication from every team member. This success is a recognition of the talent and passion we have sought to demonstrate in every phase of the competition. However, there is still some regret for not being able to bring the finished car to the circuit.

We thank everyone who made this experience possible, including the sponsors and the university professors who assist us in our work. Without their support and encouragement, this result would not have been possible.
